Counselling and Therapy Services

Supporting women through life’s challenges in a compassionate, non-judgemental and nurturing environment.

Are you feeling stuck? Unhappy? Lost? Are your current coping strategies just not cutting it anymore?

Our counselling and therapy services can provide you with the support you need to create meaningful shifts in your life and the way you feel. Each session offers a unique approach to therapy that addresses healing on all levels – mind, body, spirit and energy.

Together with the therapist, you will work to shift negative thought patterns, and gain insight into the root cause of your challenges. You will be guided using modalities that speak to you, allowing you to tune into the needs of the physical body, and strengthen the relationship you have with yourself. As a result, you will be better connected to your inner power and resilience which will help you face life’s challenges.

Are you pregnant and feeling anxious? Have you just had a baby and are feeling sad?

Your mental health needs to be a priority during your prenatal and postpartum journey. Councelling can be helpful while thinking about fertility, preparing for pregnancy and adjusting to life with a baby.

What to expect in a session?

You will complete a short questionnaire before your first appointment so we can begin to support you the best that we can where you are currently on your journey.

Each session is dedicated to you and meeting your needs. You are able to express yourself freely in a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental environment where your confidentiality is respected. You will be provided with fresh insight, knowledge and tools to help you meet any challenges that you are experiencing. Please bring a journal.

A session may include:

  • Guided meditation
  • Sound/energy work
  • Mindfulness
  • Talk therapy

In your initial session, the therapist will review intake questions with you. This will help deepen the therapist’s understanding of what you are going through, as well as provide background information that may be useful in future sessions. In addition, you will clarify your goals for therapy and what you would like to work towards over the course of your treatment plan.

Womens Health Mindfullness

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to whatever is happening in our lives, inside and out, in the present moment. When we connect with the present, we become aware of habitual patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour.

Mindfulness is not a religion. Anyone, with any belief system, can enjoy its benefits, many of which are based in research.

Benefits of Mindfulness:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Reduce the suffering associated with pain
  • Improves mood and working memory
  • Supports relapse prevention of depression
  • Increases emotional intelligence
  • Develops awareness and resilience

All sessions are 1-hour and 15-minutes.

You will complete a short questionnaire before your first appointment so we can begin to support you the best that we can where you are currently on your journey.
