Remedies can be taken alongside medications and can be used safely by infants, pregnant women, and the elderly.

Homeopathy is a regulated practice in the province of Ontario and is recognized by the World Health Organization as the second-most practiced alternative form of medicine in the world. It is a title-protected designation with the College of Homeopaths of Ontario, as established by the Homeopathy Act, 2007, within the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991.
